40K is a youth led, Australian based, non-profit that takes on joint venture projects to reduce poverty in developing communities around the world. Our maiden project is the building of a bridging school to benefit the children of exploited quarry workers in the rural slums around Bangalore.

“The commitment of young Australians such as yourselves in taking concrete steps to help alleviate poverty in the developing world is to be commended.”

Genevieve Poole
Advisor to the Honourable Julie Bishop MP
Australian Federal Minister for Education, Science and Training

”In a world where so many problems seem intractable, just too hard too tackle, initiatives like 40K are singularly inspiring because they demonstrate how just a very few people with enough passion, and belief, really can make lasting changes for the good. The very least that the rest of us can do is get behind them and throw whatever support we can to their wonderful cause. I say, more power to them.
